Second grader Harper Stiles puts his handprint on a mural with fellow students' prints during Earth Day activities at Adams Elementary School in Eugene, Ore., Friday, April 20, 2018. The activities were part of a partnership with the school and the University of Oregon's Environmental Leadership Program. There were nine different stations at which the students participated in activities like understanding recycling practices, a solar oven, tent-building relay races, planting and weeding in the school's garden, and planting 13 trees near the school. Earth Day began in 1970 and is officially on April 22. (Andy Nelson/The Register-Guard via AP)
